Posted - Jul 25 2012 : 7:37:12 PM I have been wanting to come to a MML for 10 years, but it has never worked out. I'm thinking about making the two hour drive on Saturday the 4th just to hang out and look at some rigs. Some of my other friends may ride down with me. Is there a fee just to get in the door? If so, how much is it?
Thanks!!

Posted - Jul 30 2012 : 4:06:16 PM The reason we have the rule about no spectators is due to us wanting to keep our attendee's and their belongings safe during the event. We haven't had any major issues with items being stolen in the past but we don't want to allow this in the future. I'm in no way saying you would steal anything if we let you in, but when it comes to thousands of dollars worth of equipment, we don't want to take a chance.
I would also recommend sending an email to Burden. He may give you an alternate answer from what we've said and let you in. You should just sign up and come down to play. It will be worth it! |

Posted - Jul 27 2012 : 08:10:26 AM i would shoot burden a email. Enforcer is just going based upon the rules set before him. Burden is a very chill and cool guy. If you ask nicely, im sure he would work with you and your interest in seeing the event. |

Posted - Jul 26 2012 : 9:23:23 PM Well, that's cool. I'll find something more productive to do on my Saturday. Thanks for the reply! |

Posted - Jul 26 2012 : 9:19:08 PM Unless you are past-staff, a sponsor, or have special exception, we don't allow spectators.
This isn't to single you out - its for our own (and everyone else's) protection.
Go ahead and ask Burden - don't expect an immediate response - but see what he says. |

Posted - Jul 26 2012 : 2:43:56 PM I remember seeing something in the FaQ's about a Press Pass. I don't know exactly how it works, but you should email burden@lanwar.com about it. I think it you would be able to get a hold of one [if its not only meant for news channels, magazines, etc.] Technically you would be some sort of press, since you are coming to check it out, talk to people, maybe take some pics, and go home telling all your friends about it. I also can't wait to see the final verdict on this, but I think it would be worth emailing burden if you don't get a response from the staff soon [event being one week away]. |

Posted - Jul 26 2012 : 11:32:45 AM Would be interesting to see how Staff replies to this. Im sure nobody would have a problem. i mean, at the very least it gathers interest for someone that may become a attendee in the future and possible concessions sales! lol |

Posted - Jul 26 2012 : 10:12:53 AM I'm pretty sure you'd be fine. There's no fee at the door, but a fee for a spot at the event (table spot and chair) |
